MSU Queer Students Community Centre (QSCC) and MSU Diversity Services present Queer History Week. This campaign is held from February 27 until March 3, and is geared towards understanding how LGBTQ+ history has shaped today's political climate, exploring contemporary social justice issues through an intersectional lens. McMaster Battle of the Bands is well underway, and you can now vote for the Group 2 bands. Voting for the first round of songs ends on March 1 at 12pm, and voting for the second round of songs is from March 2 at 1pm to March 4 at 12pm. The four bands in this group are No Heroes Allowed, Back in the Daze, Bad Mun and Detour. Click here to vote.
Every year, the McMaster Students Union (MSU) recognizes outstanding graduating students in each faculty with the Valedictorian Awards. Each valedictorian gives an address at their respective convocation. The nomination period opens February 27 and closes March 24 at 4:30pm. All relevant information, including the nomination package, is available via msumcmaster.ca/valedictorian.
The National Conference for Campus Emergency Responders (NCCER)will be held on February 17-20 at McMaster University in collaboration with the MSU Emergency First Response Team (EFRT). The conference Unites response teams from across Canada to learn about emergency medicine and improve medical services at each respective school.
Nominations for the 2017/2018 Student Representative Assembly (SRA) election are now open, and will close on February 28 at 5pm. For the nomination form, the number of seats in the SRA for each faculty, and documents important for running, click here.
MSU Maccess is excited to be providing a space on campus in MUSC B111 for McMaster students with disabilities. The purpose of the space is to be a place to de-stress, socialize, and build a community of people with similar experiences and stories.
