As September draws near, the McMaster Students Union continues to plan for a combination of online and in-person service delivery for the fall term. As a general reminder, McMaster University, as well as the City of Hamilton require masks to be worn indoors at all times. Please do not visit the physical campus at this time, unless absolutely necessary to do so. Undergraduate classes are taking place online.
On August 25 at 5pm, the MSU will host an open conversation with student and community leaders around the Black Lives Matter movement in Hamilton, and the subsequent calls to defund police systems. The panel will take place live, via the MSU Facebook page.
There will be a by-election held on August 23 for the position of 2020-2021 Vice-President (Education). The MSU has secured a reduction to the cost of the student bus pass and will decrease additional organizational fees, saving undergraduate students more than $120 this fall.
All students are invited to a virtual town hall hosted by MSU VP (Education), Fawziyah Isah and MPP Sandy Shaw concerning the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on students.
