Welcome Week and Back to Mac Labour Day 2017 Concerts

Beginning August 26th, Welcome Week will bring thousands of incoming first year students on campus for a week of activities to commence their time at McMaster. This year, MSU Campus Events is proud to introduce Post Malone as one of the biggest acts to perform during Welcome Week.

Student Activity Building Survey

The Space Expansion referendum in March passed with a majority of students voting in favour of a Student Activity Building (SAB) and a Pulse and recreation expansion. The commitments for the SAB include a grocery store and multi-faith prayer space, with the remainder being unallocated space. To determine the best use of this space, the SAB Ad Hoc Committee was created to gather information and recommendations based on student feedback.

The HSR U-Pass PRESTO card is available for pick-up August 19 inside the Campus Store

All full-time undergraduate and graduate students hold a 12 month, unlimited ride bus pass with the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR). The HSR bus pass is a physical PRESTO card, used in combination with a valid student card. The HSR U-Pass PRESTO card will be available for pick-up beginning Saturday, August 19 via the Campus Store in Gilmour Hall B101. A student must have a valid student card present when picking-up a new bus pass.

MSU Maroons and Student Success Centre launch livestream series for incoming students

The MSU Maroons are partnering with the Student Success Centre to produce biweekly livestreams for incoming first year students. The live videos aim to centralize information for students and will cover topics such as academic success, MSU services, Welcome Week and ongoing transition tips.
