This year’s festivities include the brand-new Homecoming Expo on Friday, October 4th from 12PM - 5 PM on the field in front of BSB. It will feature live music from McMaster bands, t-shirt giveaways and a celebration of many of the unique services and groups within the McMaster University community. Local food trucks (Gorilla Cheese, Luchador, Southern Smoke) will also be making an appearance on campus for the first time ever. Shortly after 2:00pm, David Campbell and Coach Ptaszek (of Mac football) will lead a Homecoming rally. At night, the country musician Dean Brody will be taking the stage in Burridge Gym.

To respond to the growing need for a student support network on campus, the McMaster Students Union has developed the Peer Support Line. Students can access this confidential service through extension 28888, where a caller will be able to anonymously discuss any challenges they're facing with a staff of over 50 trained volunteers.

FYC is currently looking for nominations to hold executive positions. The FYC is an MSU organization created to represent and support first year students.First Year Council is unique in that unlike most other MSU services, it’s completely run by first year students FYC’s sole purpose is to represent the incoming class and act a resource for first-year students.

On Tuesday September 24, Security Services in conjunction with MSU MACycle will be hosting the annual Bike Auction and Garage Sale. The event will take place outside of Mills Library in the MUSC/Mills Plaza. All items have been stored for a minimum of 90 days and all bikes have been cleared by Hamilton Police Services. Cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras, jewellery, designer apparel and more will all be available for auction at low prices. This is event only happens once a year, don’t miss it.
