Each year, valedictorians are selected to represent the graduating classes of each faculty. The McMaster Students Union is pleased to announce the valedictorians for Spring Convocation.
McMaster students who reside in the general area surrounding campus live in Ward 1 of the City of Hamilton. Each year, residents of Ward 1 are invited to submit ideas of how they would like to use a $1.5 million budget to improve the area through capital investments. Students are encouraged to participate in this process by submitting ideas on the For Ward 1 website
The McMaster Students Union has both Health and Dental Insurance plans that cover all full-time undergraduate students at McMaster University enrolled in 18 units or more. This year's term of coverage is from September 1st, 2013 to August 31st, 2014 - meaning benefits are still available throughout the summer.
On January 30th, McMaster students voted to add expanded service to university bus routes and create a 12-month bus pass through a referendum held concurrenlty with the MSU Presidential election. The new three-year agreement will take effect beginning September 2014, as the current contract is in effect until such time.
As students take up permanent residency in Thode Library and the Mills Learning Commons, they are forced to adapt to a different lifestyle. In order to serve students better during the exam season, the MSU is altering the hours for a number of its services.
On Sunday, April 6, the Student Representative Assembly (SRA) elected the three individuals who will join President-elect Teddy Saull in forming the 2014-2015 MSU Board of Directors.
