The 2014 fall break is Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31 with a test ban on Saturday, November 1. During Fall Break, the MSU Main Office (MUSC 201) will remain open with regular 9am-5pm hours of operation. Several MSU services will have modified hours of opertaion during Fall Break.
The financial statements of the McMaster Students Union are now available. These statements represent fiscal year 2013/14 (last academic year). The MSU generated a surplus of $286,024 representing 3% of the MSU's operating expenses.
For 2014, McMaster's Fall Break consists of the 30th and 31st of October, along with a test ban on the 1st of November. The existing break structure includes a two year pilot, set to expire at the after this year. The Student Representative Assembly has voted to endore a permanent, week-long break begining in 2015.
In order to engage students, foster an active interest in the path Hamilton takes as a city, and to ensure that the student voice is heard at all levels of the municipality, the MSU has re-launched its MacVotes campaign for the 2014 Hamilton election.
