The 41st Provincial General Election is fast approaching, and its outcome will determine the new government of Ontario. Set to be held on June 12th, the election will see 107 ridings filled with a variety of political candidates across the province. In order to engage students, and help strengthen the student voice, the MSU has created MacVotes.
The 18th Annual McMasters: MSU Charity Golf Classic will be played on Thursday, June 26th. The McMasters brings students, faculty, staff, community members and golfers of all calibres together in support of the McMaster Shinerama campaign and the MSU Child Care Centre.
Creating Leadership Amongst Youth (CLAY) is a leadership conference run by the MSU that is unlike any other. Geared towards high school students, the conference develops the participants’ leadership skills, empower them as members of their communities, and challenge them all while exposing the delegates to the postsecondary educational environment.
The academic term might be over and campus may be more quiet than usual - but that doesn't mean that the MSU has stopped operating! In order to continue providing services to summer students and the overall campus community, both the MSU and a number of its businesses and services will remain open during the summer months.
As the trees blossom and the weather improves, new graduates have begun making plans about how they will occupy their time this summer. For a handful of the newly minted McMaster graduatess, the McMaster Students Union will be the launch pad for their careers.
The McMaster Students Union (MSU) supports the adoption of each of the recommendations stemming from the Redsuit investigation. However, students are concerned about ambiguous language in some of the recommendations that may suggest a forthcoming encroachment on the autonomy of student leadership across campus, particularly in regards to Welcome Week
